[Overview] In 2013, the total industrial output value of the electronic information industry above the designated scale exceeded RMB 300 billion and reached RMB 301.16 billion in Huizhou, 25.2% up over the previous year; the completed added value of industrial output was 56.02 billion, with an increase of 29.3%, accounting for 40.2% of the city's total industrial output value, 11.6% higher than the city's added value of industrial output above the designated scale; the export delivery value reached RMB 44.55 billion, with an increase of 40.5%. The output value of the software industry was RMB 4.15 billion, with an increase of 20.6%; the city's annual investment in the electronics industry was RMB 11.758 billion, with an increase of 30.1%; 4 companies (that is, TCL Corporation, Desay Corporation, Foryou Corporation and Cosun Corporation) were once again selected among "2013 (27th) National Top 100 Electronic Information Enterprises". In terms of main enterprises, Huizhou Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. achieved a sales value of RMB 127.1 billion, with an increase of 48%, becoming the first enterprise with the sales value of more than RMB 100 billion in Huizhou; TCL Corporation's sales value was RMB 85.5 billion, with an increase of 23.2%; Desay Corporation's sales value was RMB 11.2 billion, with an increase of 10.76%; Cosun Corporation's sales value was RMB 6.7 billion, with an increase of 26.4%; Foryou Corporation's sales value was RMB 10.3 billion, with an increase of 2%. In terms of main products, the cumulative output of color TV sets was 19.8 million sets (cumulative number in the industry, including the ones produced by the local enterprises in other places), with an increase of 3.4%, and the sales volume of color TV sets reached 18.71 million sets, with an increase of 5% (including 17,66 million LCD TV sets, 12% up over the previous year, ranking first in China); the output of mobile phones was 287 million sets, with an increase of 55.7%, accounting for about 20% of the total output in China; the local output of color TV sets was 14.038 million sets, with an increase of 5.8%, including 13.721 million LCD TV sets, 19.0% up over the previous year; the output of lithium batteries was 258.8 million pieces, with an increase of 82%; the output of laser audio and video disc players was 134,6401 sets, 15.9% down over the previous year; the output of telephones was 22.2868 million sets, 2.6% up over the previous year; the output of vehicle navigators was about 5.3 million sets (industry statistics).
　　There are more than 1,300 electronic information enterprises in the city, of which 180 electronic enterprises achieve an annual industrial output value of more than RMB 100 million. A high-end new electronic information industry system has been initially formed, which is dominated by new high-end characteristic industries such as the optoelectronics industry represented by flat panel displays and LEDs, automotive electronics, next-generation mobile communications, digital home, new batteries, software, integrated circuits, etc.

TCL Corporation ranked the 8th, with an operating income of RMB 69 billion last year; Desay Corporation ranked the 41st, with an operating income of RMB 10.5 billion last year; Foryou Corporation ranked the 42nd, with an operating income of RMB 8.3 billion last year; Cosun Corporation ranked 75th, with an operating income of RMB 5.3 billion last year.
　　[Compass Equipment Manufacturing and Application Industry Alliance established] On April 2, the inauguration ceremony of Guangdong (Huizhou) Beidou Equipment Manufacturing and Application Industry Base, Huizhou Beidou Application Technical Support Center & Huizhou Beidou Equipment Manufacturing and Application Industry Alliance was held to promote the settlement of South Beidou Equipment Testing Center in Huizhou City. The establishment of the alliance provides a platform for business communication and information sharing between enterprises, and attracts great attention from the industry.
　　[Opinions on the development of Beidou equipment manufacturing] This year, Huizhou Government prepared and drafted the Opinions on Promoting the Development of Beidou Equipment Manufacturing and Application Industry in our City according to the industry development demand, which indicates the development direction for the Beidou industry, promotes the development of the Beidou equipment manufacturing and application, and creates new competitive advantages for the electronic information industry in Huizhou.
　　[Truly AMOLED panel project introduced] On December 27, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Truly AMOLED panel project was held in Huizhou Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone, and the total investment of the project was about RMB 17 billion. The project will be developed in two phases, and Phase I includes the construction of generation 4.5 AMOLED production line and AMOLED national-level R&D center, with an investment of about RMB 6.31 billion. The products cover TN (twisted nematic panels), STN (super twisted nematic panels) and other fields, and are used in mobile phone, automobile, medical treatment, consumer electronics and other industries. The introduction of Truly AMOLED project meets the needs of the local enterprises for panel products, and reduces industry chain costs in Huizhou.
　　[The mobile phone manufacturing base with the largest production capacity put into operation] On September 28, TCL Communication Global Manufacturing Base, the single mobile phone manufacturing base with the largest annual production capacity (i.e. 120 million units per year) in China was put into operation in Huizhou, Guangdong. The base covers an area of 120,500 square meters, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion for Phase I and II of the project. Phase I of the project was put into use in September this year. After the construction of the base is completed, the base will manufacture mobile communication terminal products of two brands, TCL and ALCATEL ONE TOUCH, which will be sold in more than 160 countries and regions in America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific region.
